William H. Stuart, M.D. began his focused interest in multiple sclerosis in 1988, developing the Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care and Research Center at Shepherd Center in 1991. He resigned from this position in January 2001 to become the founder and Medical Director of MSCA – THE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS CENTER OF ATLANTA. The Center encompasses comprehensive clinical care, as well as clinical research. Dr. Stuart has remained a strong advocate in the expansion of multiple sclerosis care and is a nationally recognized authority in the active treatment of the disease.
